KIM COATES, Sons of Anarchy! Spring Motorcycle SHOW!!

“I am empty as a ghost, Fires in my feet.  I was never innocent. This is my consequence, me and my gun…” (Lest we Forget, Jax Final Moment, Sons of Anarchy)
Hello Everyone!
The weekend of March 21st & 22nd, 2015, was a very exciting weekend!!! Why? Well, not only did I get to attend the Spring Motorcycle Show at the International Centre BUT I GOT TO MEET KIM COATES from the popular TV series, SONS OF ANARCHY.   Kim Coates, who played Tig on the popular series made an appearance at the show.  He greeted fans, took photographs, signed autographs and was so charming that he just became my favorite character from the show!!!! Sorry, Charlie Hunnam, (Jaxs).  LOL.
This Canadian actor impressed fans as he stood for hours being charming & funny while signing and taking pictures with everyone.  He was so sweet.  I am so shocked on how amazing he actually is! Ha-ha.  When he first arrived, he teased us by stepping out for a few seconds.  The crowd went crazy, cheering!!  He then disappeared for a bit.  The photographer next to me joked as to what happened.  I stated he probably went to fix his hair.  LOL.  Well, when he finally arrived, he actually stated: “Sorry everyone, I went to go fix my hair! “  Ha-ha.  I have to quickly thank Colleen, who gave me access to this event and who helped me see this incredible actor up close & personal!!  The lineup was HUGE!!!!!
I attended the super show back in January of this year, and the spring show is definitely a lot smaller.  It does still have a lot of bikes and yes, I found my Italian soppressata. LOL.  But, I do have to state if you can attend the Super Show in the winter, DO IT!  No disrespect to the Spring Show, it still has a lot to see and do.  I still got the food and I still saw Leafs memorabilia and I got to meet KIM COATES, so, all in all I enjoyed my weekend at this show.
If you are attending any of the Motorcycle shows in the future, and if by chance a celebrity is going to be making an appearance, you might want to avoid the HUGE line up to just get into the show by pre purchasing your tickets online.
I am so very blessed to have had this amazing opportunity to meet Kim Coates.  I am so grateful to all of you as well, who have read my blogs & followed me throughout the year.  It has been an incredible journey AND I AM launching a new website in a few weeks!!!! Therefore, I will not be posting a blog next week, as I am working on the new site, but, I promise I will be back.  LOL.  I am excited to show all of you all the changes I have been working on!
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for all the love & support.  Thank you Colleen once again, for having me at this show & giving me those amazing media passes! Everyone, GO TO THE MOTORCYCLE SHOW, it is always a fantastic experience.  Winter or spring, you will find food, adventure & plenty of goodies!!!
Until next time boys and girls (It’s going to be a NEW SITE), remember: “ALWAYS, be yourself, it will eventually one day pay off…” ©justbeingmeluvuholts

Casa Manila Amazing Filipino Restaurant in Toronto !!

“Wherever you go, habit follows...” (Filipino Proverb)
Hello Everyone,
Before I write every blog, I always place a quote or saying on top of my writing.  I chose this quote, because it described my night at Casa Manila.  I have never been to the Philippines, nor have I ever tried Filipino food before, except for sky flakes.  Ha-ha  However, when I listened to Mila, the owner of this quaint and charming restaurant speak, I knew that habit followed her throughout this restaurant.  I knew that Casa Manila in Toronto was a product of authentic Filipino traditions.
Media night was incredible.  We ate so much food.  Mila, explained to all of us that their tradition is to make sure there is always enough food left over to take home.  I can honestly say there was enough food for the whole restaurant to take home. LOL  I was blown away by the service and the polite staff.  I could not believe how caring and passionate Mila was about her culture and her restaurant.  This is truly a restaurant owner who believes in pleasing her customers, and that my friend is priceless.
We all were invited to try and participate in the Kamayan style dinner.  What does that mean?  We all ate with our hands.  LOL.  Now, at first I thought I don’t have my tide to go with me LOL, but, surprisingly enough I ate the food without dropping it all over myself.  Maybe, this style of dinner is the way to go, I mean it saves on washing utensils and I actually enjoyed it.
We ate rice, chicken, pork face (yes, pork face), flying fish, sooooooo many vegetables, soup and last but not least we had the biggest dessert, I have ever seen.  If you go to Casa Manila, you must try this dessert, Halo Halo.  It is a huge trifle bowl filled with over a dozen ingredients.  How good was this dessert? Let’s just say one of my fellow bloggers would not leave until she got to eat some of it.  LOL.
I had a fantastic time.  I loved Mila and her staff.  I am also impressed with the new product line of cooking sauces that Mila is launching.  The sauce flavors include a Creamy Coconut Ginger, an Adobo Sauce and a delicious Peanut Sauce. We all had the opportunity to try all three sauces with our foods.  We also were blessed to take one of these great sauces home.  I chose the Peanut Sauce after much deliberation; it was hard to pick just one.  LOL.  I love the Savoury Peanut sauce.  In fact, I had some this week with some chicken I made for dinner.
Would I go back to Casa Manila?  You better believe I would.  I am already planning on going on Karaoke night. That’s right everyone, they have Karaoke on Saturday nights! Get yourself a pitcher of Calamansi Mojito Cocktails to go with dinner and get ready to eat and sing like a ROCK STAR!!!
I want to thank everyone at Casa Manila for the fantastic service and meal.  I hope you all have an opportunity to go and try the Kamayan style dinner.  It is an experience you will never forget.
Until next time boys and girls, “remember, to always just be yourself, it will eventually one day pay off...”
Now, you have to see my pictures of ALL THE FOOD WE ATE!!!  LOVED IT!!!

Restaurants Canada Show !! Food Heaven!!

“People who LOVE to eat are always the best people.” (Julia Child)
Hello Everyone,
On March 2nd 2015, I was very fortunate to have obtained media passes for one of the greatest food shows in Canada.  Restaurants Canada Show gives people in the industry a chance to see the latest trends, sample incredible foods and test drive new equipment.  I am always amazed when I see food at any event, but, this show definitely made me dance.  LOL.  There was FOOD EVERYWHERE!!!! It was AMAZING!
This was my first time attending this event, and I am always hesitant before I arrive.  My fears were all gone once I saw Luigi.  LOL.  Luigi was this big Pizza Dough Boy.  He was the cutest thing ever.  I began to walk the show, and noticed immediately “NUTELLA”.  I knew now, I was in good hands.  The chef was creating items made with Nutella.  Growing up Italian, Nutella is a favorite of mine.  So, I enjoyed my Nutella Crepes.  I especially loved the Nutella samples I received to take home!
I ate so much at this show! I cannot say no to a CORN DOG!! When I saw those babies, I had to have two!!  Anyone, who knows me, knows I LOVE HOT DOGS!!! Ha-ha. One of my favorite displays at this show was Wonderland Food & Equipment.  They had amazing treats! Popcorn, Cotton Candy, and yes HOT DOGS.  I need to go visit Wally the owner of Wonderland Food and Equipment because I really did feel like I was in Wonderland at that booth. LOL. Ok, and yes, I tried the popcorn too but it was Apple Pie Flavor, I could not say no.
As I continued on in the show, I noticed gelato everywhere.  I felt like I was walking the streets of Italy.  I even tried Fig Gelato.  Yes, I know, it sounds crazy.  However, since on March 19th, Italians celebrate a holiday named San Giuseppe, it felt necessary for me to try that flavor.  What did I think of it?  I think I should have picked chocolate. LOL.
I did enjoy Frubo.  They were delicious.  Frubo came in different flavors and are made with soy and jelly.  I got to taste an array of flavors on top of frozen yogurt.  I loved the strawberry & peach flavors.  I was informed by the representative that these are the very items that most use in Bubble Tea.
Now, I have to say I was thirsty at this point.  I was dying to find some water.  Instead, I found Wine Country. LOL.  Yes, I was pulled towards it.  It was a Wine truck!! I want one for my back yard!  It was amazing.  It was a Food Truck with wine.  I was stunned.  So, no water, but I did have Sandbanks, Dunes.  It tasted like peach.  YUM!!
The Restaurants Canada Show is an event you do not want to miss!  If you are in this industry, you need to check out this show!  If you cannot attend the show, you need to find that Wine Truck and hire them immediately.  They were fantastic!!!
Until next time boys and girls...”remember, to always just be yourself, it will eventually one day pay off...”
Who wants to see pictures of this incredible show?!??
