Fancy Franks. The Best place for a HOTDOG!!

“What kind of kids eats hot dogs? Big kids, little kids, kids who climb on rocks!” (Armour Hot Dogs, Radio Commercial)
Hello Everyone,
This is my second blog post on FANCY FRANKS!!! I told you guys, I love this place.  I was thrilled to be invited to a blogger event that was held by Fancy Franks.  I got an opportunity to eat at one of my favorite places again.  I was even more thrilled to see that my favorite Hot dog was on the tasting menu!!! YES, YES, the Frankie Goes to Buffalo, with Chicken Bacon, Carrots, Celery, Blue Cheese Dressing and Wing Sauce was eaten by MEEEEEE. LOL
We got to sample an array of the menu.  They served us Frankie Want a Meatball, The Porker Poutine, Franko y Huevos and thank goodness that we had those mini donuts! Those donuts are a must try! They are delicious.  We had Nutella and Vanilla donuts, with frosting and sprinkles. I have to say, I really enjoyed the vanilla ones. LOL.  I know, I usually favour the chocolate but this time, vanilla hit the spot.
If I had to pick another Hot Dog out of the ones I was served, I would choose Frankie Want a Meatball.  It was so cool!!  It had meatballs and spaghetti on it!!!! It was so Italian! MANIFICO!! Listen, this is definitely an incredible Fast Food place.  It is clean, friendly and most of all DELICIOUS!! I cannot get enough of it.  Even though, I am not a lover of eggs, I did enjoy the Porker Poutine.  I took the egg off and went at it like a champion. Ha-ha.
I had a great time at the event; I met some new bloggers like @EmergencyFuel and @themary_tang.  We all got to try wine. LOL. AND I cannot forget Evan!! He looks like Ryan Gosling!!! I’m serious ladies…LOL.
Fancy Franks, one of the best fast food restaurants ever!! I am still waiting for one to open its doors closer to my house.  Check out their website for any other info on menu, pricing and hours!! www.fancyfranks.com
I would like to thank everyone at Fancy Franks for the amazing blogger event.  Thank you Evan and Tuan for feeding us!  I am looking forward to coming back.  I still need to try that Southern Fancy Hot Dog.
Until next time boys and girls, “remember to always just be yourself, it will eventually one day pay off…”

OKTOBERFEST !! Ooommmmpaaaaah!!!

“Roll out the barrel, we’ll have a barrel of fun…Roll out the barrel, we’ve got the blues on the run…”  (Bobby Vinton)
Hello Everyone!
My favorite month of the year is in fact October!  I love the season of fall.  The leaves change color, the weather gets cooler, hockey is back AND it’s Oktoberfest! LOL Ok, I am going to be honest, this was my first Oktoberfest.
I have to say, when I arrived at the venue, I loved the layout. The music was playing; people were having so much fun.  I was surprised at all the people dressed up.  The costumes were fantastic! As it so happens, Oktoberfest began when Crown Prince Ludwig married Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen on October 12th 1810. The citizens of Munich were invited to attend the festivities. (muenchen.de) Ladies and gentlemen, it felt exactly like one big wedding!!
Oktoberfest Toronto, had beer, food and games.  The food consisted of Bratwurst and Schnitzel.  If you do not eat pork or are not a fan of pork, there is not much food for you.  They do have pretzels and of course you can always drink the beer. LOL.  Yes, the beer.  I have to say, everyone was extremely happy.  I had the amazing opportunity to chat with a few people.  People, were not just from Toronto.  They travelled from Kitchener, Whitby, London; I was very impressed with the happy mood.
Of all the events, I have attended in the last year; this was by far the friendliest. LOL.  Everyone was having fun.  Everyone was laughing and really enjoying the polka music.  It was a great crowd.  If you are in Toronto in the month of October, check out Oktoberfest.  www.torontooktoberfest.ca
I want to thank Kristy and everyone else who took pictures with me.  A special thank you to the organizers of this festival for my media passes.  I also want to quickly mention Uber. Uber was there to offer rides for people who needed a ride home. It was a great added touch.  Great service! Do not drink and drive.
If you can check out Oktoberfest, get yourself a great costume and go join in the fun! Ooommmmpaaaaah!!!!!!

Who loves Soup? Soupalicious was an impressive EVENT

“Soup Soup a tasty soup soup a spicy carrot and coriander…” The Mighty Boosh.
Hello Everyone,
On Sunday September 28th, 2014, I had the privilege of attending one of the greatest events, Soupalicious.  This event was the BEST event I have attended thus far.  Soupalicious was created to help raise awareness for Grow a Row.  It is a food-growing & sharing program.  Everyone comes together as a community.  They all share their talents to make a great soup.  With approximately 30 chefs on site, everyone got a chance to sip, slurp and savour their amazing creations!!
It was an incredible day.  I took my Dad with me to the event.  He had a fantastic time.  This event ladies and gentlemen is a great event for families.  I got the chance to meet a mother and daughter team.  LOL Karen had approached me as I was sipping the amazing creation by Foodies on Foot. She asked me where I got this amazing looking soup.  The cauliflower, Spinach and Chickpea Garam Masala with Papri was INCREDIBLE.  Chef Damian Harrington is a gem.  This magnificent chef works at TOULA restaurant.  OK, so, you must all know that I LOVE TOULA’s.  It was like my angels brought me directly to Chef Damian.  Not only did Foodies on Foot give me some fantastic soup to take home in my new pretty blue soup thermos, purchased on site, BUT Damian invited me back to Toula’s.  I’m coming for you Damian.  I’m Italian, I never refuse an invite. LOL. I’ll see you at Toula’s.  Recognition also goes to Stephen from Foodies on Foot, he is a delight! What a great group.
So, again, I missed one of Toronto’s mayoral candidates. LOL.  As soon as I left Olivia Chow made an appearance. I think my angels only want me to eat the food, not talk politics. LOL.  I have some smart angels. Hahaha.
I had some delicious soups from No. 7 hot sauce, Cheesewerks, Leslieville Cheese Market and the Daily Bread Food Bank-Catering Kitchen.  Cobs Bread and Pizza Del Arte were also giving out samples.  Yes, I admit I had 2 pieces of the pizza.  Pizza Del Arte was a fantastic added touch to this great event.
With tickets only costing 22$ at the door, it is worth the 10 soup samples.  If you can go to this event in the future, DO IT!! Bring an empty tummy, a small bowl, and seriously try as much soup as you can. SIP SLURP and SAVOUR!!!!
I would like to thank Jim and Susan from Soupalicious for being gracious hosts. My dad and I had an amazing day.  I love my new thermos.  I loved all the soup.  Most of all, I loved the atmosphere. Artscape Wychwood Barns was a great spot to hold this event. For further information, please check out their websites at www.growarow.org and www.soupalicious.ca
Until next time boys and girls, “remember to always just be yourself, it will eventually one day pay off…”  SEE YOU NEXT YEAR SOUPALICIOUS!!  I’m not going to miss it!!! Loved it!!!!

Toronto ZOO!! I LOVE PANDAS!!!!

“We’re going to the zoo, zoo, zoo.  How about you, you, you? You can come too, too, too. We’re going to the zoo, zoo, zoo…. (Children Love to Sing Kids Song)
Hello Everyone,
There’s nothing like seeing pandas, it makes all your worries go away.  Last week, I had the opportunity to go to the Toronto Zoo.  It has been soooooo long since I last went to the zoo.  Let’s just say I think maybe Trudeau was Prime Minister at the time. LOL.  Ya, it’s been a while.
Honestly, I had a lot of fun.  I mean I can’t remember walking so much.  My feet still hurt, but, I did enjoy myself.  The Giant Panda Experience, made my day! Those two pandas were the cutest things EVER!!! Listen, they are only in Toronto until 2018. So, put on those walking shoes and get to the TORONTO ZOO!!
Er Shun and Da Mao, were delightful.  I even got to take some great pictures of them.  The exhibit is pretty big.  You get to walk through it and it teaches you about pandas and how much they eat, etc.. It is a great learning experience and it is done quite nicely.  Once you exit, you get to see the cute pandas.  They are in separate surroundings. You need to walk around the display to see both pandas, but, it’s worth it.  When you reach the end, they have a pop up Mandarin.  CHINEESE FOOD!!  SO, amazing.  Unfortunately, I went when it was closed.  Summer hours have ended but the pop up Chinese Food is opened on weekends.  You must go check out Da Mao and Er Shun’s home!!  The exhibit is beautiful.
I did find something to eat. LOL.  You all know me by now, show me the food! We ate BEAVERTAILS!!!! This was my first time trying them.  WOWWWW.  Delicious.  My only problem was the lineup was huge and it took some time to get my treats.
The Toronto Zoo has changed a bit since I last attended.  Well, ya, a lot has changed since then. LOL.  They now have a carousel ride for the kids and get this they have Tundra Air.  Tundra Air is a form of zip line but you’re in two’s sitting.  I did not try it.  I am a pure chicken.  Terrified of heights but it did look fun.  If anyone try’s it, let me know. Ha-ha.
I want to thank the Toronto Zoo, for allowing me to attend.  They were gracious and I have to say I loved my day at the Zoo.  Thank you, to my sister as well, who got me some treats.  I got my own panda! LOL.  I told you, I fell in love with those two!!! Check out the website for the Zoo’s hours and information, www.torontozoo.com.
Until next time boys and girls..” Remember, to always just be yourself, it will eventually one day pay off!” GO TO THE ZOO !!!!!!!!
