“Well I walked around the corner and I walked around
the block. And I walked right into” (Doughnut Song) …. THE DELICIOUS SHOW!!!
Hello Everyone,
On Saturday October
18th, 2014, I attended the DELICIOUS SHOW. Whoever, came up with the name of this show
was genius! I say this because everything I tried on that day was delicious.
LOL. The delicious show was held at the Direct Energy Building inside of the
National Exhibition Place.
As soon as you walk
through the doors, you immediately feel excitement. Your eyes begin to scan the room and your
mind starts to go crazy on trying to figure out on what to try first. Since, this was my first year attending the
show, I wanted to see everything!!!! The first person who caught my attention,
well, Stephen of course from Foodies on Foot. LOL It was nice to see some
familiar faces. While speaking with Stephen, I noticed the water station. I want to quickly thank one of the sponsors
of the show Strauss Water. They kept me
hydrated throughout the day! Thank you, for my amazing water bottle and water!
This show was
amazing. I want to quickly tell you what
I felt was beyond DELICIOUS. LOL If you
attend this show in the future, make sure, to try these treats!! First and
foremost, ICE CREAM VOLCANO!!
Approximately 10 people came up to me to ask me where I got this amazing
looking ice cream. Donald, your creation is fantastic. The Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream was DELICIOUS!! Not
only did it taste great but it looked sooooo cool!!!! Smoke coming out of an
ice cream. GENIUS!!!
You can find all
sorts of goodies at the show. Doughnuts,
Cake, Macaroons and of course COOKIES! I would like to thank Mary Macleod’s
Shortbread. I was blessed to try your
Chocolate Crunch Cookies.
WOWWWWWWWW. Once again, what can
I say? They were DELICIOUS.
The show offers Hands
on Experiences and it has the Exclusive Chef Series. You can sit and watch incredible
personalities like Mario Batali, Mark McEwan, and Nadia G. So, unfortunately, I missed Mario Batali but
I did get to see Nadia G. That girl can work up a crowd. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, I mean she
is Italian! LOL. I know, you were all
waiting for me to mention it…ha-ha. Nadia G, made a Sheppard’s pie. No, not an Italian dish but she did make us
laugh with her stories on Montreal, and her experience on Canada AM. Watching Nadia cook made me hungry. LOL
As I walked to the
end of the show and turned the last corner I saw something that made my whole
face light up……….A FIRE TRUCK!!!! I immediately was thinking Firefighter’s,
LOL. As I got closer to the truck, I
realized that I was not going to see Firefighter’s but I got something better!!
PULLED PORK “Timbits”. OH MY GOD, this by far, ladies and gents made the
show. They were DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!! Ted
Reader’s Timbits and Fire Truck made me so happy, I had to do a happy dance!!!
This truck is so cool, and the food was incredible. I wish I could have this truck at my house!
Wait, wait, I was told, you can get it for parties!!!!!! OHHHH YAAAAA!! LOVE
IT.
I had an amazing day
trying different foods, watching people cook AND drinking Strauss Water. I am looking forward to next year
already. Maybe, we can get some POLICE
cars next time with more pulled pork Timbits. LOL.
Until next time boys
and girls, “remember to always just be yourself, it will eventually one day pay
off..” (c)justbeingmeluvuholts
